
Canucks slay woeful Devils
The goals were shared around as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the New Jersey Devils 5-2 in the NHL.

A hat-trick from Stephen Weiss - his second in the NHL - helped the Florida Panthers to a 6-5 shoot-out victory over Colorado Avalanche.
Weiss netted twice in the first period, opening the scoring on the powerplay, then completed his treble in the second session.
Nathan Horton and Dominic Moore also netted as the victors snapped a five-game losing streak, with Chris Stewart, Matt Duchene (two), Paul Stastny and TJ Galiardi replying for the visitors.
In the night's other NHL match, Andrew Ebbett's rebound shot in overtime lifted the Minnesota Wild to a 5-4 victory over the Nashville Predators.
Guillaume Latendresse, Antti Miettinen, Mikko Koivu and Cal Clutterbuck also scored for the victors, with Jason Arnott (2), Marcel Goc and Steve Sullivan replying for the Predators.
