BPL Sunday Team News

We bring you the latest team news for Sunday night football documenting Tottenham's tricky visit to Goodison Park.

Fulham vs Sunderland

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce remains hopeful that striker Kenwyne Jones can recover from a dead leg to return to the first team at Fulham on Sunday.

The Trinidad and Tobago international picked up the injury just minutes into Tuesday night's 3-0 reserve team victory over Wigan on his comeback from a three-match ban.
However, central defender John Mensah is out with a recurrence of a calf problem which is causing some concern.

Midfielder Lee Cattermole could resume during the Christmas programme after returning to training following a medial ligament injury but tomorrow's game will come too soon for him while keeper Craig Gordon will be sidelined for months yet by a broken arm.

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson will make a late check on Simon Davies ahead of the clash after the midfielder took a knock to his calf in the victory over CSKA Sofia.

Erik Nevland, Paul Konchesky and Jonathan Greening were all suspended for the Europa League win, so they return to the squad, along with Eddie Johnson, Seol Ki-Hyeon and Kagisho Dikgacoi who were not eligible.

Andy Johnson (groin), Diomansy Kamara and Dickson Etuhu (both knee) are all still struggling for match fitness.

Everton vs Tottenham

Everton manager David Moyes has more selection problems ahead of Sunday's visit of Tottenham.

Centre-back Sylvain Distin and midfielder Dan Gosling both sustained hamstring injuries in the midweek Europa League victory over AEK Athens with Distin a major doubt.
Brazilian striker Jo also picked up a minor knee injury in Greece but he is expected to recover in time.

Joseph Yobo missed the European clash with a hamstring problem and is unlikely to feature while fellow defender

Johnny Heitinga serves a one-match suspension after receiving his fifth booking of the season in last week's Merseyside derby defeat.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will be without Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate.

King has been troubled by a hamstring injury and Woodgate is struggling to shake off a groin complaint, meaning they join Luka Modric on the sidelines.

Niko Kranjcar is back after being cup-tied for the midweek Carling Cup defeat at Manchester United.

Teams:

Everton (from): Howard, Yobo, Baines, Hibbert, Cahill, Gosling, Rodwell, Bilyaletdinov, Fellaini, Pienaar, Saha, Yakubu, Neill, Nash, Jo, Baxter, Agard, Wallace, Duffy, Coleman.
