Palacios admitted to hospital

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is worried about Wilson Palacios's condition after the Honduras international was taken to hospital with suspected head injury.

Palacios was body-checked by Everton's Tony Hibbert during their incident-packed 2-2 draw. The foul earned a penalty for Tottenham but Jermain Defoe's effort was saved by Tim Howard towards the end of the game.

According to skysports.com, Redknapp was very concerned because he believes Palacios is 'a tough lad'.

The Spurs boss told Sky Sports 1: "They have taken him to hospital and he is in a lot of pain.

"He is a tough lad so it can't be very good for him to be struggling like he is. Hopefully he will be okay."

Meanwhile, Redknapp was frustrated that his side threw away a two-goal lead against struggling and injury-hit Everton on Merseyside.

Defoe and Michael Dawson appeared to have given Spurs the points, but the Toffees hit back through Louis Saha and Tim Cahill before Howard saved the injury-time spot-kick.

Redknapp said: "It was game over wasn't it at 2-0? They were never going to get back in the game, really.

"I felt we gave a sloppy goal away and suddenly, credit to them, we were ruing the opportunities we had missed to really kill the game off.

"The crowd got right behind them at 2-1 and gave them a lift and they had a real go and obviously got the second goal.

"We got a great opportunity with the penalty to sew the game up, but it wasn't to be."

He added: "That can happen. People can miss penalties. He (Defoe) didn't mean to miss the penalty."
