Park: My season starts here

Manchester United midfielder, Park Ji-Sung feels that his season has only just begun.

The South Korean player had to overcome a troublesome knee injury and only managed to get back to full fitness in recent weeks.

He was in United's starting XI in their 1-0 loss to Aston Villa on Saturday and reckons it will take time to get back to his best.

Speaking to the United Review, Park said: "It is difficult being injured because you feel you are not doing anything to help the team. When you play you feel more a part of the side.

"This time I have missed five or six weeks because of my knee injury, but the team is still competing for four trophies, which is the main thing.

"Now it feels like the start of the season all over again and what matters is what happens from now."

Park also made known his thoughts in the departure of star player, Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer.

He said: "Ronaldo was a big part of the team. He scored a lot of goals, but we have built another team now and we have to play to our strengths.

"I know I want to help the team win as much as possible, starting with the title. It would be amazing to win four in a row, just as it would be to reach a third Champions League final.

"But the FA Cup is the one I haven't won yet, so I want that as well."

United take on Wolverhampton on Tuesday night, hoping to keep pace with league leaders, Chelsea, who have a five-point lead at the top.
