Seedorf relishing "Group of Death"

AC Milan's Clarence Seedorf is looking forward to meeting his former teams Real Madrid and Ajax in the Champions League.

Milan have been drawn with Ajax, Real and Auxerre in Group G of the Champions League - a group many have labelled as the toughest of all.

Rather than being apprehensive though, Seedorf is looking forward to the encounters - given that he has connections with all the teams.

In comments reported by the Milan Channel, he said: "It's a very special group for me. When I saw the draw I laughed for ten minutes as Auxerre was the team I faced in my first quarter-final.

"When I wore the shirt of Ajax at 16 [years of age]. I came in after five minutes because of an injury to someone and played almost the entire match. With Ajax I won my first Champions League and with Real Madrid and Milan my second, third, and fourth.

"It is a group that makes me smile. These games give me a lot of enthusiasm because I get to return 'home' three times."

Seedorf played for Ajax from 1992 to 1995 and for Real from 1996 to 1999 before arriving at AC Milan via Inter in 2002.
