Worsley may return against Wales

Joe Worsley could be fit for the RBS 6 Nations match against Wales after learning his knee injury will keep him out for eight weeks.

Worsley tore ligaments in his right knee in the first ruck during England's 19-6 defeat to New Zealand last weekend but provided the most optimistic prognosis is correct, he could be back in Martin Johnson's plans for the Twickenham clash with Wales.

A statement from his club Wasps released today said: "After a consultation with London Wasps' knee surgeon, Andy Williams, it has been decided by all parties that in preference of surgery, Joe will take a conservative approach to his rehab to repair the grade three medial collateral ligament injury to his right knee.

"Joe is expected to be out for a minimum period of eight weeks. London Wasps and the England medical team will continue to work together on Joe's recovery."
