Glasgow coach calls for vitality

Glasgow Warriors head coach Sean Lineen has called for his players to show the same "vitality" they opened the campaign with.

The Warriors aer preparing for their final home game of the regular Magners League season.

Glasgow are seeking a hat-trick of victories at Firhill when they face European champions and league leaders Leinster on Friday night.

Their 25-18 win over Ulster last week took them into the final play-off spot but Lineen feels improvement is needed when they face the Dubliners.

He cited the 22-9 victory over Munster in September as the benchmark for his players.

"We were happy with the win against Ulster," said Lineen. "We played with a lot of spirit but we need to play with a lot more composure a lot earlier in the game.

"You look at the first time we played an Irish team this season back in September against Munster. We need to play with the same vitality and tempo.

"This game takes on a special importance after the results last weekend.

"Leinster are not top of the league and champions of Europe for nothing. They challenge you all over the park."

Glasgow will be without broken-leg victim Jon Welsh along with backs Colin Gregor (foot) and Ruaridh Jackson (ankle).
