Sania Mirza's campaign in the USD 220,000 MPS Group C'ships wilted after she lost to seventh seed Alona Bondarenko.

The Ukrainian seventh seeds maintained her supremacy throughout the match to tame Sania 6-4 6-3 and set up a second round tie with sister Kateryna, who defeated Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, 7-6(2) 6-2.

Sania has teamed up with Chia-Jung Chuang and the Indo-Taipei duo will face Melinda Czink of Hungary and Lilia Osterloh of America in the first round.
