
Schnyder seals final place in Budapest
Top seed Patty Schnyder won two matches in a day to book her place in the final of the GDF Suez Grand Prix in Budapest.
Schnyder comfortably beat Edina Gallovits 6-2 6-4 in her last-four clash to set up a meeting with fourth seed Agnes Szavay.
The Swiss had earlier come from a set down to beat Alisa Kleybanova 5-7 7-5 6-2 in her quarter-final clash.
The match had been postponed yesterday due to rain with Schnyder leading the Russian 4-3 in the first set.
Szavay brushed aside Alona Bondarenko, seeded six, 6-1 6-2 in the other semi-final.
