Tsonga sets up Youzhny showdown
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will face Mikhail Youzhny in the final of the Japan Open after beating Gael Monfils in straight sets.
Frenchman Tsonga, the second seed at the event, proved too strong for compatriot Monfils in the semi-finals as he eased to a 6-3 6-3 victory in just 55 minutes.
Tsonga broke his opponent three times to set up the meeting with Youzhny, whose passage into the final was not so straightforward.
The Russian was pushed to the limit by eighth seed Lleyton Hewitt before overcoming the Australian 6-2 5-7 7-5.]
