Barcelona to stage Davis Cup final
The 2009 Davis Cup final between Spain and the Czech Republic will be played on indoor clay courts in Barcelona.
Barcelona was competing with Valencia to stage the event, with the federation voting in favour of the Catalan city by 13 votes to one at a meeting at the Real Club de Tenis Oviedo.
The tie will be played at the Palau Sant Jordi, which was the venue for Spain's first triumph in the competition nine years ago against Australia.
The final will be contested from December 4-6.
