Beck falls to Clementin in Stockholm

Andreas Beck failed to live up to his billing as the fifth seed in the IF Stockholm Open as he crashed out to qualifier Arnaud Clementin.

Former world number 10 Clement has had a dismal year and the 31-year-old has slumped out of the top 100 - but he was more than a match for Beck and won 6-4 6-2.

Beck's compatriot Michael Berrer fared better, ousting Finland's Henri Kontinen 7-5 7-6 (9/7) in a battle of two qualifiers.

Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci knocked out Denmark's Frederik Nielsen, winning 7-6 (8/6) 6-3, while Sweden's Andreas Vinciguerra failed to provide a crowd-pleasing win as he lost 6-3 6-2 to Belgium's Olivier Rochus.

American Robert Kendrick eliminated Spain's Oscar Hernandez, prevailing 6-3 6-4.
