Aravane Rezai won the Tournament of Champions in Bali after Marion Bartoli retired due to a thigh injury during today's final.

Bartoli was serving for the set at 5-4 but was broken by Rezai and the top seed then failed to convert a break-point at 5-5.

Rezai then battled to win the first set 7-5 but Bartoli chose to end the encounter as her left thigh injury continued to cause her pain.

The victory was Rezai's second title of her career after her triumph on the clay in Strasbourg in May.
