British duo Alex Bogdanovic and James Ward both lost their French Open qualifiers in Paris on Tuesday.

Left-handed British number two Bogdanovic, 25, bowed out in straight sets to Irish number one Conor Niland 6-4 6-4 in 88 minutes after being guilty of making six double faults.

Londoner Ward, 23, the British number seven and ranked 356 in the world, lost the first set of his match to Spaniard Pablo Andujar 6-4.
