Sania Mirza's US Open campaign came to an end when she stumbled in the mixed doubles event in the second round on Sunday.

Sania and her Canadian partner Daniel Nestor were beaten 6-1, 6-4 by Carly Gullickson and Travis Parrott of USA.

Sania had already lost in the singles and women's doubles. Sania and Francesca Schiavone of Italy had lost 2-6, 6-1, 5-7 against the unseeded duo of Gisela Dulko of Argentina and Shahar Peer of Israel in the second round match of women's doubles event.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes entered the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles event with their respective partners following straight set wins over.
