Oudin's dream is over

Melanie Oudin's dream run at Wimbledon came to a halt as she bowed out in the fourth round to Agnieszka Radwanska.

The 17-year-old had won three matches in qualifying before adding three more victories in the main draw, including one over sixth seed Jelena Jankovic.

However, Radwanska, the 11th seed, proved a hurdle too high to climb and Oudin went down 6-4 7-5 on Court 18.

Things started well enough for the American teenager as she secured an early break of serve to lead 3-1.

However, her Polish foe hit back and quickly turned things around to claim the first set.

Oudin kept fighting in the second but lost her serve as she served to stay in the match.

Radwanska progresses to the quarter-finals for the second year running and will now face Venus Williams for a place in the last four.
