Ozzie Guillen, three Royals suspended
MLB suspended Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen and three members of the Kansas City Royals after Sunday's brawl.
Guillen received a two-game suspension, while Royals righthander Zack Greinke and catcher Miguel Olivo were each suspended for five games.
Kansas City manager Trey Hillman was suspended for one game.
The fiery Guillen was ejected from Chicago's 14-3 loss following an incident sparked by Olivo, who charged the mound after a pair of inside pitches.
Once order was restored on the field, Guillen confronted and made physical contact with umpire Tim Timmons before being ejected.
After the game, he made some menacing comments toward the Royals, resulting in Tuesday's penalties.
"Olivo overreacted to the situation," Guillen said. "I'm not going to bring a guy in that throws 85 miles an hour to hit somebody. I guarantee it.
"I'll bring (Octavio) Dotel, I'll bring (Matt) Thornton, then I will tell them to throw at them. That's the way I do business."
Greinke and Hillman were ejected in the seventh inning after Greinke hit Nick Swisher with a pitch.
