Livingston on verge of signing with Heat

Livingston close to signing with Heat

Guard Shaun Livingston, who had his career derailed by a horrific knee injury, could sign with the Miami Heat.

Livingston will meet with Heat management Friday, at which time is expected to be added to the roster, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

Livingston has not played since suffering a devastating left injury in a game on February 26, 2007. The 6-7 one-time playmaker was not re-signed as a free agent by the Los Angeles Clippers, who drafted him fourth overall in 2004.

While he looks like he will land with the Heat, Livingston also drew interest from the Portland Trail Blazers and Minnesota Timberwolves.
