Horford sidelined with bruised knee

Atlanta Hawks center Al Horford missed the 109-94 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers due to a bone bruise in his right knee.

Horford suffered the injury in the third quarter of Friday's 121-87 loss at Orlando when he landed awkwardly on his leg.

The second-year player is officially listed as day-to-day. He underwent an MRI on Saturday, which confirmed the bruised knee.

Atlanta coach Mike Woodson said Horford will not travel with the team for its three-game road trip that begins Tuesday in Phoenix.

"They're (doctors) are suggesting rest, and we'll have to wait to see," Woodson said. "I don't know how long Al's going to be out."

Horford has played in 33 of Atlanta's 36 games this season, averaging 10.8 points and a team-high 8.7 rebounds.

Zaza Pachulia, who did not play in Orlando due to the flu, replaced Horford in the starting lineup Sunday.
