Cavaliers insiders have also revealed that LeBron James is excited about his potential partnership with the future hall-of-famer.

However, O'Neal does come with a few strings attached. The Big Cactus is demanding a two-year contract extension, and a guarantee that James will remain in Ohio for the next three seasons at the very least.

"It's plausible, it's possible," said a league executive of the Shaq-to-Cleveland talks. "But there's nothing happening right now."
