Kobe: "I ain't going nowhere"
Newly crowned NBA champion Kobe Bryant has no plans to leave the Los Angeles Lakers, the franchise he's been with since 1996.
The 30-year-old guard met with head coach Phil Jackson and general manager Mitch Kupchak yesterday to discuss his options.
Bryant could opt out of the final two years of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
But, when pushed on whether he would do so, Bryant said: "I'm not going anywhere.
"I know I ain't going nowhere, so it's just a waste of our breaths talking about it."
Bryant has spent his entire 13-year career with Los Angeles, picking up his fourth NBA title last weekend as the Lakers sealed a 4-1 triumph in the best-of-seven finals series against the Orlando Magic.
He also picked up the NBA finals MVP award thanks to a points average of 32.4 over the series.
