Wizards reject offers for Butler
Washington Wizards GM Ernie Grunfeld insists that he want to keep the team’s Big Three, but added that no one is untouchable.
Washington have dealt their fifth overall pick in the NBA draft to the Minnesota Timberwolves, along with Etan Thomas, Oleksiy Pecherov and Darius Songaila, for Randy Foye and Mike Miller.
In addition to the news of the deal, Phoenix, Golden State and Portland have been rumoured to be in the mix for All-Star swingman Caron Butler.
Butler has admitted that the NBA is a business and that "anything can happen."
"To be honest with you, I'm not worried but I know the nature of the business," Butler said.
"Me being traded from Miami, being traded from [the Lakers], I know the only thing I can control is making sure I'm in good health, making sure I work hard this summer to keep my body right and be the best player I can possibly be for who I'm playing for next season."
