Rambis and Wolves agree on deal

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Kurt Rambis have reportedly ironed out a contract to make him their new head coach.

Sources close to negotiations report that Rambis was tempted away from the championship-winning Los Angeles Lakers, where the former power forward was an assistant coach, by a four-year contract worth approximately US$8 million.

Wolves owner Glen Taylor spoke to the St. Paul Pioneer Press late Saturday, telling the daily that he expects to present Rambis early next week.
