Bryant's Lakers eclipse Suns

Kobe Bryant scored 29 points and Andrew Bynum 26 as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Phoenix Suns 121-102.

The Lakers did an effective job of shutting down the high-powered Suns offence for long stretches, holding the explosive Amare Stoudemire to eight points as Jared Dudley was left to lead Phoenix with 14 points off the bench.

LeBron James poured in 34 points and Shaquille O'Neal added 14 for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but a pair of role-players had a lot to do with their 111-104 win over the Miami Heat.

Mo Williams came up with 25 points, making five shots from three-point range, while JJ Hickson added a career-high 18 in the win.

The Heat wasted a 36-point effort from Dwayne Wade.
