Joe Johnson and Hawks soar
The Eastern Conference-leading Atlanta Hawks sealed their first season series sweep against the Portland Trail Blazers in 12 years with a 99-95 overtime win.
Joe Johnson led the way for the Hawks with 35 points, while Josh Smith poured in 20 and pulled down 16 rebounds.
The defeat ended a six-game win streak for the Trail Blazers, who led by nine points going into the fourth quarter.
Rashard Lewis returned for Orlando as they beat the Charlotte Bobcats 97-91, but it was far from impressive from the Magic.
Lewis, who had served a 10-game ban for a raised testosterone level, managed 10 points, while Stephen Jackson had 13 on his debut for Charlotte.
Magic centre Marcin Gortat missed the game having contracted flu.
Dirk Nowitzki highlighted a 32-point, 11-rebound performance with an 18-footer on the buzzer to give the Dallas Mavericks a 115-113 overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
