NBA: Heat dominate through Wade

Miami Heat won 106-89 over the Washington Wizards as Dwayne Wade scored 26 points and dominated during a second quarter run.

Wade either scored or assisted on 20 consecutive points for the Heat and he also combined with LeBron James to score the last 18 points for the visitors in the first half.

Chris Bosh had 24 points and 11 rebounds, and James added 18 points and nine assists.

JaVale McGee had a season-high 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Wizards. Nick Young scored 22 points and John Wall added 15 points and 10 assists.

There were just 3.2 seconds left on the clock as Chris Paul hit a 17-foot jumper, taking his total to 24 points, as the Los Angeles Clippers won 78-77 over the Philadelphia 76ers.

For the Pacific Division-leading Clippers Blake Griffin had 16 points and 11 rebounds, Mo Williams scored 14 points, Randy Foye had 10 and Reggie Evans had a season-high 10 rebounds.

For the 76ers Andre Iguodala celebrated being selected to the All-Star team with 12 points, eight rebounds and seven assists and Elton Brand had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Chicago Bulls overcame the absence of reigning league MVP Derrick Rose to defeat the Charlotte Bobcats 95-64, Joakim Noah scoring 17 points and having 14 rebounds, Carlos Boozer scoring 16 points.

A lower back strain kept Rose out but the Bulls won their fifth straight overall and improved to 5-1 this season without him.

Derrick Brown scored 10 points to lead the NBA-worst Bobcats, who shot 33 percent and lost their 13th straight game to fall to 3-23.

The Toronto Raptors won 86-74 over the Boston Celtics with DeMar DeRozan scoring 21 points and Jose Calderon had 17 points and 14 rebounds.

An impressive 23 points and 19 rebounds guided the Atlanta Hawks to an 89-87 victory against the Orlando Magic, the Hawks making enough of their free throws late in overtime.

The Detroit Pistons routed the New Jersey Nets 109-92 with Greg Monroe having 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Brandon Jennings scored 24 points and made a big lay-up in overtime as the Milwaukee Bucks won 113-112 over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Portland Trail Blazers snapped a two-game losing streak with a 94-86 win over New Orleans which featured a season-high 31 points from Jamal Crawford.

The Dallas Mavericks triumphed 104-97 against the Minnesota Timberwolves as Dirk Nowitzki scored a season-high 33 points to win the Western Conference All-Star power forward match-up with Kevin Love.

A career-high 38 points from Jeremy Lin helped him win the duel with Kobe Bryant and also saw the New York Knicks defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 92-85.

The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Indiana Pacers 98-92 as Rudy Gay scored 21 points and Marreese Speights added a season-high 19 points and nine rebounds.

Oklahoma City Thunder were 101-87 winners over the Utah jazz.
