Quarterback Brett Favre was one of seven members of the New York Jets named in the AFC Pro Bowl roster on Tuesday.

Despite throwing an NFL-high 17 interceptions this season, Favre was one of seven members of the New York Jets named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster Tuesday. The seven picks are the most in Jets' history and topped all NFL teams. Among AFC clubs, the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens were next with six and five selections, respectively.

In his first season with the Jets, the 38-year-old Favre was named to the Pro Bowl for the 10th time, tying Johnny Unitas' record for quarterbacks.

Indianapolis' Peyton Manning was tabbed as the AFC's starting quarterback for the seventh straight year and will be making his ninth overall Pro Bowl appearance. Manning's Colts have overcome a 3-4 start with a seven-game winning streak and will clinch their seventh straight playoff spot with a victory at Jacksonville on Thursday.

Denver's Jay Cutler, who leads the AFC in passing yards with 3,851, was the third signal-caller named to the team. Left off the squad, however, was San Diego's Philip Rivers, even though he has thrown an NFL-high 28 touchdowns.

Other members of the Jets named to the team were running back Thomas Jones, guard Alan Faneca, interior lineman Kris Jenkins, center Nick Mangold, corner back Darrelle Revis and kick returner Leon Washington. Jones will start at running back. He will be joined in the backfield by Miami's Ronnie Brown and Tennessee rookie Chris Johnson.

Starting at tight end will be Kansas City's Tony Gonzalez, who also earned his 10th Pro Bowl selection. Baltimore's Le'Ron McClain will be the AFC's representative at fullback. Leading the AFC's receiving corps is Houston's Andre Johnson, the NFL leader in receptions (103) and receiving yards (1,408 yards). That group also includes Denver's Brandon Marshall, Indianapolis' Reggie Wayne and New England's Wes Welker.

Faneca, also in his first season with the Jets, is headed to his eighth consecutive Pro Bowl and headlines the picks on the offensive line. Ravens veteran middle linebacker Ray Lewis makes his ninth straight Pro Bowl appearance and will be joined at the position by Pittsburgh's James Farrior, the captain of the league's top-ranked defense.

Another Steeler, James Harrison, and Miami's Joey Porter will start at outside linebacker. Tabbed as starting defensive ends were the Colts' Dwight Freeney and Houston's Mario Williams. Jenkins, who has spearheaded the Jets' run defense, earned his first AFC Pro Bowl selection and fourth overall.

Other defensive starters are Tennessee's Albert Haynesworth and Cleveland Shaun Rogers as interior linemen, Oakland's Nnamdi Asomugha and Tennessee's Cortland Finnegan as cornerbacks, Baltimore free safety Ed Reed and Pittsburgh strong safety Troy Palamalu.
