RJ Umberger scored with 2:05 remaining as the Columbus Blue Jackets recorded a 2-1 triumph over the San Jose Sharks.

Michael Peca netted his second goal of the season and rookie Steve Mason turned aside 47 shots for Columbus, who notched their fifth consecutive victory at Nationwide Arena.

Devin Setoguchi opened the scoring 3:41 into the third period and Evgeni Nabokov finished with 30 saves for San Jose.

Todd Bertuzzi ended his 20-game goal-scoring drought by tallying with 72 seconds remaining in overtime as the Calgary Flames handed the Minnesota Wild their sixth straight setback with a 3-2 triumph in a battle of Northwest Division rivals.

Daymond Langkow had a goal and an assist, Craig Conroy tallied and Miikka Kiprusoff turned aside 25 shots for Calgary, who have won back-to-back road games. After missing 27 games with a lower body injury, Marian Gaborik recorded a goal and an assist for Minnesota. Andrew Brunette also had a goal and set up another and Niklas Backstrom finished with 27 saves for the Wild.

Daniel Sedin recorded a pair of goals as the Vancouver Canucks scored three times in the second period en route to a 4-2 triumph over the Edmonton Oilers in a battle of Northwest Division rivals.

Jannik Hansen had a goal and an assist, Ryan Kesler also tallied and Curtis Sanford finished with 22 saves for Vancouver, which retired Trevor Linden's number 16 prior to contest. Dustin Penner and Sam Gagner each netted third-period tallies and Dwayne Roloson turned aside 24 shots for Edmonton.

David Clarkson scored the game-winner and set up another goal as the New Jersey Devils avoided a third straight loss with a 5-3 triumph over the Buffalo Sabres.

Captain Jamie Langenbrunner and Patrik Elias had two assists apiece and Scott Clemmensen made 23 saves for the Devils, who are 10-2-1 in their last 13 games. Travis Zajac, Zach Parise, defenceman Bryce Salvador and Brian Rolston all tallied for New Jersey, who snapped a three-game losing streak to the Sabres. The Devils had already lost to Buffalo twice at home this season.

Defenceman Michal Rozsival scored a pair of goals - including the game-winner with 79 seconds remaining in overtime - as the New York Rangers recorded a 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings.
