Philadelphia Flyers halt Devils

The Atlantic Division-leading New Jersey Devils saw their winning streak snapped at eight as the Philadelphia Flyers earned a 3-2 win.

The score would have looked worse for the Devils had Zach Parise not scored with 0.6 seconds remaining.

The Flyers, who have now won six of their last seven games, had goals from Darroll Powe, Scott Hartnell, and James van Riemsdyk, while Claude Giroux had two assists.

Matt Moulson had his first career two-goal game as the New York Islanders beat the Boston Bruins 4-1.

John Tavares and Trent Hunter added the others, while Dwayne Roloson stopped 28 shots.

Jack Johnson scored a powerplay goal then was the only man to net in the shootout to lift the Los Angeles Kings to a 4-3 come-from-behind win over the Florida Panthers.

The Kings needed powerplay goals from Johnson and Jarrett Stoll after slipping 2-0 behind, while Randy Jones also scored.

Mathieu Garon stopped Gilbert Brule in the fourth round of the shootout, meaning Jakub Voracek's goal gave the Columbus Columbus Blue Jackets a 3-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

It was the fourth win in five for the Blue Jackets, while Edmonton have now lost four straight.

Elsewhere, the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-2 and the Tampa Bay Lightning were 4-1 winners against the Phoenix Coyotes.
