
Boston Bruins bounce back
Marc Savard scored a hat-trick as the Boston Bruins recovered from a 5-1 hiding on Friday to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 7-2.
Savard netted in all three periods as the Bruins bounced back emphatically from the 5-1 defeat to the Montreal Canadiens.
It made for a miserable return to Boston for the Maple Leafs' former Bruin Phil Kessel, who was booed throughout and committed a turnover which led to Boston's third goal by Zdeno Chara.
The only home player who finished the game frustrated was netminder Tuukka Rask, who lost his bid for a second shut-out of the season with less than five minutes remaining when Niklas Hagman scored.
